Alexandra Library
The Alexandra Public Library occupies a central location in the heart of town. The Library is spacious and comfortable and has a comprehensive collection of books, magazines and audio visual material.
The Alexandra Library is part of the Central Otago District / Queenstown Lakes library consortia. It offers a vibrant and friendly atmospheres with an excellent selection of adult and children’s books, magazines, local newspapers and DVDs available on site and from throughout the region.
Items in the collection can be searched and reserved through the library APP or website. Members also have access to thousands of eBooks, eAudiobooks, digital newspapers and magazines, digital films and family history research through Ancestry Library Edition. The library also offers free WiFi; spaces for relaxation and study - and a programmes of regular events for children and adults throughout the year.
The Alexandra Library’s McArthur Room holds the Central Otago Libraries’ Local History Collection of books and pamphlets. Researchers can use these materials in the library.
