The Aotea Electric Cromwell and Alexandra story started in 1996 when they took over what had been the Central Otago Power Board. From small beginnings, they have grown into Central Otago’s largest electrical service provider.

Furthermore, Aotea has a dedicated servicing team, with staff based locally in both Cromwell and Alexandra. The service team have knowledge and experience in performing all manner of repairs, maintenance, additions and small installations, we cover everything. Recent work carried out by the servicing department includes kitchen and bathroom renovation, factory plant maintenance, data system additions, automatic door maintenance, medical facility maintenance, whiteware repairs, heat pump installations and lighting repairs. There isn’t a job too small, nor too complicated that we can’t take on for you.
