Hintons Orchard

The orchards produce apricots, cherries, nectarines, peaches and plums. Hinton fruit can be found in local supermarkets and fruit stores right throughout New Zealand.

Five generations of the Hinton family have been growing fruit in Central Otago since the first orchard block was bought in 1910. The current owners of the business are Nigel and Elisabeth Hinton who along with their son Howie and daughter-in-law, Sarah Hinton - run the family business.

Central Otago fruit is well known for its superior quality, and a large percentage of Hinton's fruit is exported under the brand C.V. Exports (CVE) to markets in Taiwan, China, Australia, UK and the USA.
