Kopuwai Early Learning Centre

Kopuwai Early Learning Centre is a fully independent community based childcare centre run by a Management Committee of parents and with 100% qualified teachers.

Kopuwai Early Learning Centre is the only not-for-profit, parent run childcare centre in Alexandra and we pride ourselves on being a small centre, with a strong whānau and community focus. We have high teacher:child ratios, diverse settings and planning that focuses on individual children's needs.

Our Centre’s culture also promotes creative expression and active exploration encouraging children to challenge themselves physically and mentally providing opportunities to develop their dispositions for future formal learning. Through learning about our natural environment children are able to develop working theories about their wider world.
