Lauderburn House

Lauderburn House was built in the mid 1920 as a doctor’s house and infirmary. The house was later transformed into a Bed and Breakfast for guests, this was when it got its name Lauderburn House (Lauder after the town and Burn meaning small stream)
The house is set on six acres in the town of Lauder. It is the closest accommodation to the spectacular Poolburn Gorge viaducts and tunnels. The two indoor guest rooms are the 'Karearea' and the 'Kahu' rooms. We also have a small cottage sleep out, 'Matuku Moana', a lovely self contained room and the 'Pukeko Place' our glamping tent. They both have the use of our stunning outdoor bathroom with hot shower and compost toilet. They are also able to be booked in conjunction with our other guest rooms. Their bathroom facilities could then be shared.
Continental breakfast is complimentary.
Relax in the garden or take a stroll down to our pond to see our ducks. You might even get to meet our resident White Faced Heron, the German Owls or the Wild Quail that hang out in the garden.
