The Otago Daily Times is the 'Independent Voice of the South'. The largest daily newspaper circulating throughout the whole Otago province.

Locally owned by the Allied Press, the Otago Daily Times is New Zealand's oldest daily newspaper. Proudly independent, the ODT has a strong local news coverage and is published Monday - Saturday. This focus combined with national and international news means the ODT has an unmatched reach into the Otago market.

Allied Press Ltd employs more than 400 staff, and its associated companies at least another 60. Most are based at the head office building in Dunedin, but many operate from offices in other Otago towns and across the South Island of New Zealand.
