Day One
Taking buildings that are beautiful and historically significant and creating a new life for them as luxurious boutique accommodation or a restaurant is something of an art form in Clyde.
On your first day take a tour of the Alexandra Basin vineyards – for something more physical, hire a bike for the self-guided DeVine Cycle loop – or chill out being chauffeured by a local driver guide. Factor in a stop for lunch at The Packing Shed nestled in a spectacular garden setting.
Finish the day with an exquisite dinner at your choice of restaurant before retiring early enough to truly enjoy the comfort and luxury of your accommodation.
Day Two
Ease into the day with a gentle walk around the shops and galleries of Clyde – or pick up a heritage walk brochure and explore the iconic buildings.
Factor in a special winery treat before heading home again. Choices high on the list would include a private tasting in Monte Christo’s underground cellar, a lunch at The Cloudy Bay Shed or in a private cabana at Carrick Winery or up on the Mt Difficulty Winery terrace.
