About the artists:
Robin Eden-
A self-taught, prize-winning artist, I have been artistic since childhood; dabbling in many forms of art and craft. I paint every day from my home in Central Otago, surrounded in farmland, and finally have the time and freedom to fully explore oil as a medium. Lately adding pellet knife work into my art. "I love painting both sea and sky, as they are alive with the moods and colours of nature.”
Lois Bishop-
I have been creating art for many years; I enjoy attending workshops and learning different ways and mediums. I paint mainly in acrylic, also use oil and watercolour. My downtime is being creative; this is good for the soul and frees you up from rules in life.
Norma Parks-
I paint only in oils & I love using bright colours, with “red” nearly always somewhere in the painting.
Jann Robertson-
Having a background in graphic design and printing has led me on my art journey for the past few years. I have been a member of Blue Mountain art group since its conception and been heavily involved with the bi-annual West Otago Taste of Art exhibition. Until recently most of my works were figures or landscapes in oils but since attending a Joel Hart workshop in Christchurch a couple of years ago, my latest passion is handcut stencilling and spray paint techniques, creating mixed media pieces. I have a love of old frames, and often purchase quirky objects to use as a base for my artworks, which adds a unique and personal touch to my art.
