Like the pioneers of Central Otago who grew hops in the 1800's we have been growing our own hops at the brewery, which has allowed us to create our own unique flavours and aromas, distinctive to the Central Otago area. The climate in the Central Otago make the growing of hops challenging, given the extremities. But due to this, the hops produce individual tastes complimentary to our beer styles, which is found nowhere else in New Zealand.
