Community Group Facilitator, Cromwell
We arrived in Cromwell when most people were leaving after the completion of the Clyde Dam construction project in the early 1990’s. When we arrived I joined groups such as Plunket to get to meet others.
As the children grew, my community connections evolved, but my commitment to supporting the community hasn’t! Facilitating the Cromwell Newcomer’s Network is a good fit for me, as it combines my passion for volunteering with supporting others as they find their ‘fit” in the community.
Each day I look out my window and marvel at this beautiful place we call home. I am inspired to get out and enjoy the vistas by foot or bike. I am really loving the new bike trails!
Cromwell has many great people, doing great things in a positive and caring way – I truly feel that we have strength and community heart right here.
