I was brought up bilingual in Japan where my mother was an English teacher. A year-long exchange to New Zealand in year 9 saw me fall in love with this country and resulted in my ultimate decision to permanently move here.

I studied dentistry at Otago University before working in Wellington and Rotorua in both hospital and private practice. My wife grew up in Dunedin and has family throughout Central Otago. This connection prompted our move to Alexandra.

We love the outdoors and the opportunities that living in Central Otago gives us. We both like skiing and snowboarding, hiking and mountain biking which we can do from home on any day we choose to. We also have a 1 year old baby and feel this is a great and safe place for kids to grow up.
